Microsoft in recent years have introduced a lot of products that target the SME market very well. As most of us use Windows we are already well accustomed to “The Microsoft way” of doing things, but in the past few years Microsoft have really gone further than that and given us excellent products such as Small Business Server 2003. This product is aimed at the business of up to 50 to 75 individuals and give the small business all the “bells and whistles” that you need to present a focused and coherent business image to your customers. It also gives you the ability to manage your business from wherever you are, a very useful tool in today’s business world. |

HP offer a great deal to the SME, from Laptops to Servers, from Printers to Handheld Computers. With a strong name behind them and again excellent technical support, they can offer an SME business the right equipment at a price point. We will always look to supply any of our customers at least 2 competing quotes and technology solutions to any request, to make sure that the customer gets best value for the equipment they are buying. |

Dell have over the years been renowned for the cost effectiveness of their equipment. The Servers and PC’s they supply are well targetted for the SME market and provide a very good level of specification. We usually specify for our clients what equipment they should buy from Dell for their project and then let the client buy direct from Dell thus cutting out the middleman (US!). By doing it this way we make sure the client is paying us for our advice and technical skill of installation only. (Again making sure that the Return on Investment for a company comes first) |

Cisco are synonymous with the large enterprise and the wide area, supplying backbone equipment, but they are also very able in designing and manufacturing secure networking products to link up a group of small offices or a number of sites. Although the costs are slightly more than some of the other suppliers in this market (and they are harder to set up!) once the system is in place Cisco equipment is almost bullet proof and their technical support is superb, meaning as a customer you get a Rolls Royce solution. |
